Adverse Credit
“Been turned down for a mortgage? Less than perfect credit
or Bad Credit?”
Here at Mortgage Base we have
access to many lenders who have sympathy for those in awkward situations
and will deal with each case individually.
The following illustrates perhaps the most common situations where
we’ve been able to help customers obtain a mortgage despite
the apparent difficulties:
- Previous bad debt resulting from non payment of a credit agreement
resulting in a County Court Judgement (CCJ) or a default (against
a loan agreement).
- Separation/divorce where outstanding loans/credit have not
been maintained and where one partner wishes to buy out the
other
or move on.
- Late payments on credit/store cards which result in failing
to obtain a new mortgage for a house.
- Association with a family member who has bad credit which makes
obtaining a new mortgage very difficult.
These are just typical examples of cases which we handle sympathetically
and on an individual basis.
If you are in a position where you have been affected by bad
credit and it prevents you getting a high
street mortgage then talk to
us. Our policy is that if there is a mortgage out there for you
we will do whatever we can to find it.
“Best First Policy”
Unlike some adverse mortgage brokers and lenders on the market
we always strive to find the best most competitive deal for our
clients according to their circumstances. You can be sure that
the solution we find for you isn’t just the first deal we
find regardless of the rate. For us being independent means using
that status to get the most competitive package for you by sourcing
for ‘credit repair’ mortgages which bridge a gap until your credit file is back in order so that you can return to competitive
high street rates again.
“What do I need to do?”
The first thing we recommend anyone with financial difficulties
is to obtain their own ‘credit report’. Basically all
the credit you own or have had within the last 6 years is held
in the main by two credit agencies – Experian and Equifax.
These companies are used by finance companies and lenders to determine
the state of an applicants credit history. Some lenders will credit
search using one, some the other and in a few cases even both.
Select either icon below to access the easy to use websites that
will allow you to obtain a credit report now. These can be applied
for by telephone, by
post
or online
and
should
take
no longer than a week to arrive. In addition you will normally
have to pay a small administration fee of up to £4 for a
credit file.
